Anita's Daughter's Story   — Anita Porter, WA, USA

My daughter was born with this Strep-B in 1984. My water membranes broke 1 month early and my doctor tested me right away. She was in trouble, they had a neonatal intensive care unit on the way and I had an emergency c section. She was very ill and I was given no hope for her survival. A month later I got to bring her home. She was a living miracle. Today she is a beautiful 27 year old woman getting married in June. She had some learning difficulty in school but you wouldn't know it because she is bright. She went to to college and has a fighting spirit to this day. I am sorry for all who has had tragedy and I pray for all little ones and families that have go through this.
