Julie's Son's Story — Julie Worsham, OH, USA |
|
Sept. 29, 1993 - My water broke at 36 weeks. I went in to see my OB, but they sent me home. They told me they were concerned that my son's lungs were too premature. They told me to take my temperature and, if it went over 99 degrees, to call. When I got home and it was 99, I called and the doctor told me that he should've told me 100 degrees as 99 wasn't that concerning. After insisting to be admitted to the hospital, my son was born later that night. He lived 12 short days. I only got to hold him for seconds after he was born. We never took him home. He'd be 15 now and I remember it like it was yesterday.
