"Hi, I’m Rebecca Herbst. I play Elizabeth Weber on General Hospital. I want you to know about a wonderful foundation called the Jesse Cause “Saving the Babies from Group B strep.” Named after little Jesse, who needed 3 brain surgeries, all because his mom was never tested. Group Beta strep is the leading infectious killer of newborns in the United States. Amazingly, 1/3 of pregnant women have this bacteria, and it’s almost 90% preventable with common antibiotics.
