Bentley's story   — Crystal Kent, CO, USA

My daughter Bentley was diagnosed with Group B Strep Meningitis at 10 ½ weeks even though I tested negative during my pregnancy and had a C-section, crazy--right? It started one morning with a low-grade fever that lasted all day. At one point while she was napping I felt her and her body was ice cold even though she had a warm blanket and the room was warm. I thought it was strange, but I had no idea it was a sign of a blood infection. Through the night her temp. and sleeping pattern was normal. The next day she started again with a low-grade fever and moaning. Wanting only to be held and nothing in her mouth, I took her in. Dr. B knew that something was not right. Thank God for her knowledge as we were on our way to the hospital. Bentley spent 18 days in the hospital with intravenous antibiotics, and today she is 9 ½ months, beautiful and healthy as ever! My point is: Never give up Hope or Faith. God Bless everyone. My E-Mail for everyone is: jandckent970@yahoo.com
