My baby got infected with GBS, and died after three and a half weeks of life. This happened in 1983 and YES, it haunts me daily. The doctor KNEW I carried GBS (I had several miscarriages before my little baby girl died) and when I got all the medical records they all said that GBS was present at the miscarriages and at time of baby's death. I fell that had this doctor taken precautions and treated me the way pregnant women are treated now that test postive for GBS, my baby girl, Sharon, would be alive today. Thanks to the death of my baby it started the protocol of testing all pregnant women for GBS. RIP, SHARON, YOU ARE SORELY MISSED!!!!!! From HV
